The old adage - 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' could prove devastating and costly if your business is still running Windows XP, Windows Server 2000 or 2003. These operating systems (OS) have been completely abandoned by Microsoft. This means that any vulnerabilities that are discovered by hackers will NOT be fixed.
This can leave your entire business susceptible to damaging viruses, exposing your computers, servers and information (data) to be deleted, altered or stolen.
In addition, servers running Windows 2000 or 2003 will no longer receive updates to their certificates, which are the keys that servers use to communicate with other servers over secure channels (like HTTPS, TLS & SSL). This will eventually cause unforeseen issues - where things 'just stop working'. If your servers perform EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) then you are at a higher risk of transactions failing or information to not exchange between services.
At Mackenzie Technology Solutions, we know how to prepare, plan and implement upgrades from Windows XP, Server 2000 & 2003.
